Delivery of Training

The majority of the training at Travel Matters Enterprises is carried out in the main office area on a work as you learn basis, rather than in a classroom setting.

A member of staff will always be on hand to assign you work at the start of each session and upon completion of your current task, and to answer any queries you might have or to talk you through areas of the work which are new to you.

Periodically we run in-house workshops to cover certain skills areas (eg making a professional telephone call) which will be in a classroom environment (though please note these are not complusory if they do not cover one of your target skill areas).

Review and monitoring of training

The training programme of each individual trainee will be tailored to suit their needs and goals.

This is achieved by the initial interview and appraisal which will aim to highlight skill areas where the individual would like or needs to make progress, and by regular reviews thereafter with a member of staff where progress will be monitored and new goals set for the forthcoming period.

Progress and Outcomes

The training at Travel Matters Enterprises is time limited - from the commencement of your training the maximum duration of your training programme is two years.

Whilst it is never our intention to put any additional pressure on individuals or to set unrealistic or unachievable goals it is our very much our hope and intention to help to provide individuals with the skills and confidence that they need to move on from Travel Matters to their next goal, be that into open employment, further education or another alternative.

We have a proven track record over the last ten years of assisting the individuals who train with us to achieve this progression, and will offer all the support and encouragement that we can to make this progression as easy (and enjoyable!) as possible.
